How early should I book?+
For weekends in March-May or September-November, four to six weeks ahead. Weekdays I usually have something within a week.
Do I need a Texas fishing license?+
Yes, anyone 17 or older fishing in Texas waters needs one. A one-day license is $11; an annual is $30. Buy at any TPWD agent or online — takes about ten minutes.
Can you accommodate kids?+
Absolutely. The Family & Kids Trip is designed around shorter attention spans, lots of action, and judgement-free help. Kids 6+ are welcome. Younger by special arrangement.
What if it rains?+
Light rain — we fish. Lightning, sustained 25+ mph winds, or a small-craft advisory — I'll call the night before and we reschedule at no cost.
Can I keep the fish?+
Within Texas daily limits, yes — and I'll fillet and bag them at the dock for free. We voluntarily release anything over 5 lb.
Is the boat handicap-accessible?+
The Skeeter has a flat front and rear deck and grab rails, but boarding is at a standard floating dock. Email me about specific needs and we'll make it work.
Do you offer multi-day packages?+
Yes. Two- and three-day packages on Sam Rayburn include hotel coordination at a partner lodge. Email for current rates.
What payment do you accept?+
Deposit by Stripe or Venmo. Balance at the dock in cash, Venmo or Zelle. We don't take checks.
