Yes. Anglers 16+ need a valid Arkansas fishing license. Non-resident 1-day permits are about $11 and 3-day are about $16, available online at agfc.com. I can email you the link after you book.
The boat, fuel, all rods, reels, lures, terminal tackle, ice, bottled water, and a guide-permit fee. Full-day trips also include a simple lunch. Tips are appreciated but never expected.
Sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, a hat, a rain jacket if there's any chance of weather, and snacks if you're picky. Soft-soled shoes (no black-soled boots). Camera and phone in a dry bag.
Absolutely. Many guests do, especially tournament anglers. I keep premium rods on board if you'd rather travel light.
Most trips are capped at 3 anglers (the boat is rated for 4 including me, and that includes kids). For larger groups I can sometimes coordinate a second boat with a trusted local guide.
If I cancel for safety reasons (lightning, sustained 25+ mph winds, fog so thick we can't navigate), you get a full refund or a free reschedule — your choice. Light rain we usually fish through.
Yes — and we love them. Kids 6 and up are welcome on family trips. Younger kids are okay too if a parent takes responsibility for life-jacket compliance and downtime.
Beer is fine in moderation. No hard liquor, and the captain (me) doesn't drink while on charter. Boating Under the Influence is a federal offense — please don't put me in that position.
Free reschedule up to 7 days before the trip. Inside of 7 days, the deposit is non-refundable but transferrable. Same-day cancellations forfeit the full trip cost unless I cancel for weather.
25% deposit at booking via card or Venmo to hold your date. Balance due on the boat — cash, card (4% surcharge), or Venmo are all fine.
I'll text you the night before with the launch ramp address based on where the bite is best. Most trips launch from Tucker Hollow, Lakeview, Cranfield or Robinson Point — all 5-25 minutes from downtown Mountain Home.
Yes, within Arkansas regs (12-inch minimum on largemouth/smallmouth, 6 fish/day). I'm a strong advocate for releasing trophies (anything over 4 lbs), but you can keep eaters for the fryer if you'd like. I'll clean them at the dock for you.
Yes — any amount, no expiration, transferrable. Email contact@henrypaulbass.com or call (472) 208-0040 to set one up.
Mornings fill up fast in spring and fall. Lock in your date — we'll handle the rest, from rods to lures to the fish-cleaning at the dock.
