Half-Day Bass Trip
Four hours on the water, ideal for new anglers, kids, and travelers passing through the Ozarks. Sunrise or sunset slots.
Guided largemouth, smallmouth and Kentucky bass trips on Bull Shoals & Norfork Lakes — quiet coves, structured points, and the kind of patient instruction that turns first-timers into lifelong anglers.
I'm Mark Hopper. I've been chasing bass on Bull Shoals and Norfork since I was eleven years old, and guiding here professionally since 2003. Henry Paul Bass Guide Service is just me, my Ranger Z521, and a tackle box that's been refined over twenty-two seasons of trial and error.
Every trip is private — your group only. I supply the boat, rods, reels, terminal tackle and live bait when it makes sense. You bring sunscreen, a hat, and the willingness to be on the dock by sunup. We'll do the rest together.

Eight hours dedicated to chasing bigger fish. We move when the bite moves, work multiple lakes when conditions allow.
Patient, judgement-free guiding for kids 6+ and beginners. We celebrate every bluegill like it's a state record. Because it is.
Pre-fish a tournament with a guide who knows the structure intimately. We map waypoints together and review your rig.
Film a sunrise on the bow or shoot product on the deck. Quiet electric trolling, beautiful light windows, full cooperation.
Available year-round in any amount. The best Father's Day, retirement, or anniversary gift you'll ever wrap.
Mountain Home sits at the doorstep of two of the cleanest, deepest reservoirs in the country. Bull Shoals offers 1,000+ miles of shoreline, classic bluff structure and the kind of clear water that makes finesse rigs sing. Norfork is smaller, more intimate, and famous for explosive smallmouth action on rocky points.
I split my trips between the two depending on weather, season and what you want to catch. You won't find a better one-two punch in the country.
Mark put my 8-year-old on his first bass within 20 minutes. He was patient, kind, and clearly knows every rock on Bull Shoals. We're already booking next year.
Best guide I've fished with in three states. He read the water, switched lures three times before lunch, and I caught a 6-pounder I'll be talking about for years.
We did the half-day with my dad for his 70th birthday. Beautiful boat, easy pace, fish in the cooler. Worth every dollar and then some.
Mornings fill up fast in spring and fall. Lock in your date — we'll handle the rest, from rods to lures to the fish-cleaning at the dock.
